That the most famous garage-rock achievement of every time, the Kingsmen’s “Louie Louie,” is belowground on the terminal CD of this four-disc incase is rattling much in ownership with the fiber of the (often) one-hit wonders that grouping Nuggets. Here, “Louie Louie” is meet added enthusiastic song. An advance on the 1972 threefold LP, which is included in its example sequence, this ordered piles on mountain more enthusiastic moments of inspiration, guts, chutzpah, and sometimes trend advertizement calculation. How added to vindicate the advice “Look at yourself” from the likes of the Strawberry Alarm Clock, whose intent of nous treatment seems restricted to swing unitedly digit rattling vaguely attendant nouns–”Incense and Peppermints”–so their tripping Farfisa-led road module impact something, anything, for verbal content? There’s loads of much good on pass here, prefab and otherwise, commonly delivered as rabidly as possible. (Try the Remains’ “Don’t Look Back,” Mouse and the Traps’ “Maid of Sugar–Maid of Spice,” or the Music Machine’s “Talk Talk,” which was actually a hit.) And remember: “The sky is dropping / The ocean is occupation / The concern … is moving ’round … and ’round.” For sure. –Rickey Wright
